Job Description:

The division of Technology and Planning at Goucher College is currently accepting applications for Windows Support and Deployment Specialist to plan, prepare, deploy, and support Windows computers and peripherals for employees and for the college's computer labs and public workstations. As an integral member of the technology support team, the IT specialist will provide technical solutions, support, and training to fix problems or implement new technologies.

Are you interested in making a difference in how technology is deployed and used by the campus community?</p> <br /> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <p>The division of Technology and Planning at Goucher College is currently accepting applications for Windows Support and Deployment Specialist to plan, prepare, deploy, and support Windows computers and peripherals for employees and for the college's computer labs and public workstations. As an integral member of the technology support team, the IT specialist will provide technical solutions, support, and training to fix problems or implement new technologies.</p> <img src="https://analytics.click2apply.net/v/DowMaQfmGp5KTYwysqRBp"> <br/><br/><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p>Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma, at least three years of technology support experience as well as an A+ certification. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and know how to provide end-user support for hardware and software. This role will serve as a point of contact for level two windows support requests, be required to install applications, software updates, and patches as well as set up hardware, configure software, and conduct technology orientation for new hires. Candidates must be able to provide printer administration, setup, and installation, troubleshoot computer, peripheral, and printer hardware issues while knowing how to document processes and configurations. The candidate will be required to know how to work with Active Directory accounts and group policies in collaboration with system administrators; monitor and update Help Desk tickets to ensure timely resolution; provide Microsoft Office and Office 365 support; utilize SCCM, WDS to deploy Windows computers. Candidates should also have working knowledge of Mac OS X, mobile devices, remote technologies, and network configuration and connectivity.</p> <br /> <p><strong>Additional Information:</strong></p> <p>Preferred candidates should have four or more years of technology support experience, be certified in Microsoft Office 365 and have extensive knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems. Preferred candidates should also have experience troubleshooting data and computers errors as well as hardware and software problem analysis experience and experience in desktop and laptop computer configuration.
