Job Description

Within Chase Card Services, the Card Planning & Delivery (P&D) team's primary mission is to provide centralized prioritization, planning, initiation, design, and execution support & leadership for complex, technology-dependent initiatives that cut across business and functional areas. Within P&D, the Business Analysis function develops charters epics, business requirements, and stories to achieve initiative objectives. The Business Analysis team strives

to raise the firm’s performance in this discipline and hold best in class

status within JPMC. We accomplish this by developing a high-performing team

that is committed to well-defined processes, innovative use of technology,

superb relationship management, and a culture of continuous improvement.

 

The Business Analyst organizes, plans, directs, and executes scope

and feature/capability definition for small to medium initiatives of varying complexity impacting multiple functional areas. These initiatives are high profile with  significant bottom-line impact, highly complex, strategic in nature and may

span across lines of business. Responsibilities include documenting high-

level objectives, business value, scope, and critical success factors and

eliciting clear and thorough business requirements that meet the business

objectives. The person in this role is also required to conduct JAD

sessions, research, impact analysis, collaboration sessions, refinements

root cause analysis, and perform As-Is and To-Be process mapping related to

the assigned work. This person brings added value to our business and technology partners by collaborating with the stakeholders and recommending process improvement and identifying efficiency

opportunities.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Leads scope and feature/capability definition for initiatives of any size using a standard business/technology collaborative approach
  • Understands initiative objectives and analyse scope and success criteria to ensure they are met
  • Interacts with Senior Management on a consistent basis regarding complex initiatives
  • Bring expertise when assessing other work during Peer Review sessions to ensure high quality
  • Utilize the methodology and tools used in alignment with industry standards for both waterfall & agile (scrum) methodology
 

  • 3+ years experience ins a Business Analysis or similar role at a financial institution
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Teamwork
  • Planning and organization including the ability to manage timelines, identify dependencies and risks and escalate appropriately as needed
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills; Experience using a variety of requirements elicitation techniques
  • Sophisticated business analysis including working knowledge of IIBA standards and diverse analytical tools
  • Business interviewing skills
  • Comfortable recognizing and resolving conflicting priorities among stakeholders
  • Computer fluency (STRONG Word Processing, spread sheet, and Process Mapping Software skills) and knowledge of Agile tools (JIRA)
  • Proficiency in process analysis or BPM (Business Process Mapping)
  • Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in business process and technology integration projects and managing project teams of various levels
