In this position the candidate will be responsible for solving complex business problems through deep quantitative and qualitative analysis to influence growth and marketing initiatives of consumer branded cards businesses including Freedom, Slate & Sapphire. The ideal candidate will be an expert in synthesizing data to drive business decisions with a passion for business strategy and analytics

Key responsibilities include:

  • Use analytical methods to segment customers based on internal and external attributes to clearly identify opportunities for growth, drive targeting strategies and measure overall portfolio performance
  • Synthesize data from a variety of internal and external sources to drive business decisions
  • Perform analysis to identify data driven insights across product, marketing and customer engagement
  • Actively monitor portfolio for weaknesses and opportunities; measure portfolio marketing/campaign effectiveness
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with product/marketing, centralized analytics, risk & finance teams


  • BS/BA in an analytical field (e.g., business management, finance, economics, stats, math)
  • 5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years of experience an analytical/strategic role (e.g. management consulting, strategy or finance); financial services experience preferred
  • Should be an expert in SAS/SQL or equivalent tools
  • Experience with manipulating large or complex databases and developing appropriate data models to evaluate and solve business problems
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of the key drivers within the credit card P&L is preferred but not required
