Lending Transformation & Controls -  Controls Sr. Associate


Delivering an exceptional product and service experience is vital for Chase Small Business Owners.  It drives our ability to build lifelong relationships with customers and fuels our brand and reputation.  Without this, our customers and employees may become frustrated and our servicing costs escalate.


Business Banking is redefining how customers interact with and use their small business lending products. We will consider a customer’s relationship and experiences across Chase, over any one channel, product and other line of business. We will analyze the customer experience from beginning to end to deliver our mission statement. Additionally, we will identify significant improvements needed within our existing process to strengthen the control environment and continue to mitigate risk.


This role offers an opportunity for a strong well-rounded customer and controls-oriented process expert to close gaps that exist in today’s processes, and to create game-changing ways for our customers to experience Small Business Lending.

Bachelor's Degree in a strategic or process improvement discipline

Minimum of 5+ years’ work experience, ideally in process re-engineering strategy, customer-centric function, and marketing

End-to-end process mapping to identify inefficiencies and gaps and drivers of dissatisfaction with both lending and Ink in consideration

Strong understanding of the financial services industry and Regulatory, Legal, and Risk environments

Controls-focused mindset and understanding of risk/control framework and intellectual curiosity as it relates to current control environment

Expertise and interest in continuous improvement of existing control framework and reporting for BB Lending Products &  Fees

Ability to apply analytical perspective to existing control monitoring and reporting Ability to identify, create and update policies and procedures to streamline process while maintaining best in class controls and driving change to strengthen control environment

Participate in strategic discussions regarding Business Banking Lending Controls related to Upcoming Initiatives, Emerging Topics, Corrections and Action Plans

Strong communication skills – both written & verbal – with ability to quickly solve problems and present ideas and results to multiple stakeholders and ensure alignment; superior verbal and interpersonal skills

Displays leadership skills, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, with flexibility and willingness to adapt and change course as needed

Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence, and communicate effectively with within the organization

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and identify big ideas

Communicating progress, status, issues, decisions on regular cadence

Drive key business initiatives from concept through execution, including approach development, project management, and implementation
