Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others


The Business Banking Credit Data Strategy & Execution, VP will identify, analyze and deploy internal and external data solutions that enrich credit risk models, risk strategies and new business credit products. The candidate will also lead data deployment in new channels working with Tech very closely through the delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate has deep credit risk data expertise and superior program management to drive end to end implementations of new risk data solutions.     

  • Evaluate new data sources for suitability in business credit risk strategies and models (includes leading data hygiene, matching and decision tree analysis)
  • Work closely with internal and external data providers on data specifications, layout changes and integration solutions
  • Conduct business analysis, write business requirements and own business product backlog
  • Ensure recurring cadence of reporting and presenting to internal functional groups (including BB Risk) and across Lines of Business to keep Senior Management engaged and aware of delivery progress, schedule, issues and risks
  • Institute appropriate reporting to measure benefits realized by risk data solution
  • Ensure engagement across organizational levels

Please note this role can be at the VP or Associate Level depending on candidate experience.

  • 8-10 years of experience in Credit Risk Management, Data Strategy and/or Risk Execution/Architecture experience.  Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience &/or specialized training in Business, Finance, or quantitative field
  • Experience with risk data strategy & execution, strongly preferred (especially in relation to evaluating data for risk strategy use, testing data quality, mapping data fields and related system integration)
  • Product delivery experience from ideation to leading requirements definition, application design and development, and high level of interaction with engaging with test teams and periphery support teams focused on build, infrastructure and release/implementation
  • Strong leadership & interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead cross functional teams to a solution and adjust leadership style for the situation
  • Solid experience in working with external partners/strategic partnerships
  • Solid experience in working in a highly matrix environment across many different businesses
  • Experience with governance processes and metrics
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills with experience communicating with senior business, strategic partners and IT leaders
  • Expert use of SAS, Python or other programming language
