The Team:


Chase Data & Analytics Team unifies data and analytics talent across Chase to responsibly leverage data to build competitive advantages for our businesses with value and protection for customers. The Auto D&A team utilizes data, analytics, visualization and advanced analytics to drive meaningful impacts for our customers, dealers and partners. We approach problems inquisitively and with a desire to find solutions in our data. The Position:


We are seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to be part of our Product Decision Science team. As the lead quant for your product, you will forecast and set product team goals, design and evaluate experiments, monitor key product metrics, understand root causes of changes in metrics, build and analyze dashboards and reports, build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis and evaluate and define metrics. 


You will partner with product, tech and QA teams to ensure the right tracking is in place to measure success of product features and to automate the process for data capture, transformation, presentment and security is consistent and accurate. You will align with data owners, contribute to the development of data models and architecture for analytics and analyze and explore data improvement opportunities (existing and new sources). 


You will interact with business partners and understand their needs, help frame the issue, establish a framework to solve it by breaking it down in sub-issues, establish early hypothesis, design analysis to test hypothesis and answer the key questions. 


You will handle large amounts of data from multiple and disparate sources. You will analyze the data and the results to ensure quality, statistical relevance, etc. with a critical mindset. You will develop insights, methods or tools using various analytic methods such as predictive modeling, match pair analysis, time series analysis, simulations, etc.  


You will provide business partners with actionable insights, and ensure buy-in by communicating in a simple, conclusive manner, focusing on the key messages. You will always tie back the analysis to the business issue, focusing on the ‘so-what’ and how to make the results actionable. You will own stakeholder relationship and help shape their agenda, ensure constant alignment on priorities. 


In this role, you will have the ability to understand the bigger picture as well as ability to understand on a granular level the data, reporting, analytics needs of your stakeholders. You will troubleshoot technical issues and help write and review features specification and sharing your expertise to the product and engineering teams.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, in a math, science, or technology, Master+ degree preferred

  • 6+ years of advanced analytics experience with demonstrated history of creating vision, operating model, product roadmap, and managing automation backlog.

  • Experience working with business leaders to assess processes and identifying opportunities for automation that increase efficiencies and reduce operational risk

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and share concepts clearly & unambiguously. Being able to discuss topics with both business & technical resources. Comfortable creating and presenting recommendations to senior management

  • Experience providing clear & logical requirements. Ability to identify key decision points, variations and exceptions within the flow. Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts, algorithms and data structures in an easy manner

  • Innate listening skills with ability to interview process owners, quickly understand new concepts and ask appropriate probing questions to build full picture

  • Self-starter & able to manage projects from ideation through completion with strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver actionable insights

  • Ability to handle multiple projects while managing conflicting deadlines and handling ambiguity. Regularly assessing your own performance and adapting your work to achieve better results            

  • Technical Requirements

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root causes of issues.

  • Deep understanding of core testing concepts. Ability to identify necessary test conditions to perform while unit testing

  • Proficient in data mining and advanced analytical methods

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Looker

  • Excellent SQL experience. Strong SAS, Python, R, Spark, Scala desired
