CCB Risk

Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

 

CCB Risk organization is investing in innovative solutions to manage risk across the Consumer and Community Bank and is seeking an experienced Vice President to be an Agile Coach and support the expansion of a Client Engagement model across all LOB’s within CCB Risk. This role will assist all LOB’s in supporting their transformation to an Agile Operating Model.  Coaching responsibilities will include assisting scrum masters, product owners and scrum teams in preparing, training, and designing new Agile processes and techniques to ensure a smooth transition to an Agile working environment. Additionally, this role will support the expansion of the operating model for Client Engagement. This model creates a single point of contact for each LOB on all Risk Architecture topics including the Annual  Roadmap Investment planning, quarterly IT Demand Management, Budget/Investment review, Agile Transformation, Analytic Architecture, Model Implementation, and all other Risk Architecture product impacts. The position requires close collaboration with CCB Risk Lines of Business and Corporate Risk and Finance Technology. The Risk Business Architect Vice President will play a key role in defining our annual investments, coordinating business and technology engagements, supporting all Agile efforts and driving delivery of strategic initiatives.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the expansion of the new Client Engagement process across all of CCB Risk
  • Develop and Implement Evergreen support processes for Agile Transformation across CCB Risk
  • Work with key Agile Teams across CCB Risk to assist in Training and Coaching where needed
  • Partner with Elevating Agile CCB team to ensure consistency across CCB for Agile Transformation
  • Participate in CCB Roadmap Planning and Demand Management forums and represent Risk programs and projects
  • Participate in monthly Client Engagement meetings with specific LOB’s
  • Work with business to complete business tollgates for scope reads and business requirement documents be made available for Tech consumption
  • Articulate readiness RAGs based on project readiness and tech commitment. Also able to escalate all business / tech constraints to appropriate stakeholders for corrective action
  • Engage in management and tracking of Risk tech allocations on quarterly basis and re-sequencing of the demand to optimize the allocation usage. Communicate impacts of re-sequencing to program / project stakeholders
  • Track budget Vs Forecast Vs Actuals of Risk $ and hours. Provide frequent and timely reports of variances to program / project stakeholders


  • 6+ years of business/technology architecture, product management or relevant experience as well as record of individual achievement
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Business Management or comparable field
  • Previous Agile Training and Coaching Recommended
  • Ability to think strategically and to connect the dots to the bigger picture, while still comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
  • Expertise in navigating the organization and partnering with colleagues throughout the firm to achieve common goals
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to succinctly advise senior management of risks, challenges and potential solutions; ability to construct effective management presentations on complex analyses and operational performance.  
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities
