Executive Director, Cross Partner Controls

Job Description

 

Consumer and Community Banking strategic priorities as well as an increasingly complex operating environment are requiring more proactive and strategic focus on oversight/controls. The Director of Cross Partner Controls, a new position within the Partner Card business, will be responsible for leading a team focused on mitigating key emerging and existing risks, including but not limited to:

  • Partner Data Use – It is critical that our control infrastructure and processes for ensuring partner data is used appropriately evolves and keeps pace as CCB accelerates development of customer level, data-enabled solutions

  • Centralized Controls - Further developing / improving centralized controls that ensure comprehensive and effective oversight over partner contracts

  • Ongoing Oversight - Overseeing ongoing non-discretionary work, e.g.

    • Developing metrics for material risks in support of the CORE transformation and monitoring framework

    • Facilitating Partner Card’s involvement in Regulatory Exams, Internal Audits, Compliance Tests, Action Plans / Issues Management (8 active issues)

    • Ensuring TPO/SSC Adherence and Recertification

    • Supporting GM teams where necessary on emerging Issues, NBIA prep, annual Product Service Reviews, Sales Practices guidance

    • Maintaining Procedures / Job Aids, Corrections / Self-Corrections, Exam / Audit Prep and Support, Access Administration, Record Retention, Business Resiliency, etc.


  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful, pragmatic cross business risk mitigation strategies; exceptional results orientation and strategic thinking.
  • Outstanding communicator – verbally and in writing. Capable of independently developing executive level presentations and communicating effectively with all audiences (e.g. senior executives, VPs and Associates within Card and across the Bank as well as external parties such as Regulators)

  • Top notch relationship building and influencing skills; high degree of comfort operating in a matrixed organization

  • Excellent analytical acumen, critical thinker and attention to detail

  • Outstanding people leader – proven ability to attract and develop strong talent and build followership

  • Expert knowledge of the credit card industry

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
