The Vice President, Marketing Automation Programs acts as the program designer for key merchant services client or prospect engagement programs by establishing strategy for ongoing automated programs including identification of messaging sequence, sourcing data to feed the automation and working to get data feeds prioritized. This role is a key liaison to work with stakeholders to design effective programs, source content as needed, establish metrics, analyze reporting and oversee execution of the programs.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Create and execute the strategy for merchant services automated marketing and client programs using data driven strategic approach to design multi step, dynamic engagement.
• Serve as liaison between marketing, partner and field teams, sales operations, IT, legal and compliance on matters related to the design and execution of automated engagement.
• Responsible for establishing prospect and client programs by segment, monitoring client outcomes, driving related goals and reporting out to leadership.
• Provide insights and best practice guidance for infrastructure, processes and data that achieve efficiency and effectiveness goals. Improve client data quality.
• Work with internal experts to make data available for program outreach along the lifecycle.
• Coordinate across lines of business to align messaging for shared clients and drive optimal client experience.
• Participate in the analysis and conceptual design of proposed engagement programs, utilizing professional experience in the development of specifications, design parameters, and alternative solutions to improve observed results.
• Analyze data at the detailed level, summarize findings and implications for executive management, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel format, with minimal oversight.
• Establish and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work. Prepares status, management, and one-off reports as required.
• Keep abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.
• Use experience and observations to inform future capability development and support complex marketing technology stack discussions including marketing automation, sales automation/CRM (Salesforce) as well as content tools.
• May provide technical direction and some project management within a project team.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• BS degree or equivalent practical experience in marketing, communications or client management.
• 8+ years of directly related work experience involving business to business communications, marketing or client management.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management systems, marketing automation tools and tracking tools to assess campaign effectiveness.
• Excellent problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills in both business and technical situations.
• Proven technical and analytical acumen to analyze metrics from multiple sources to detect root causes, determine implications and deliver executive summary findings.
• Proven experience with B2B payments products including messaging to drive results for clients.
• Demonstrated driver of strategy with ability to manage the projects associated with a customer or prospect nurturing program.
• Proven experience documenting strategy in a compelling manner and executing the associated plan.
• Experience with Salesforce.com, including use of system and best practices.
• Knowledge of Marketo (or like Marketing Automation System), data model and integration with Salesforce.com CRM
Key to success in this role will be an ability to focus on diverse client segments and needs while collaborating effectively across the organization and using well developed influencing skills to deliver the required outcomes of marketing and client engagement.
