About the Team

 

The FX Product Management function broadly focuses on the product development execution, day-to-day management along with maintaining standards of risk mitigation and controls for the FX Payments product suite to ensure the business maintains client focused delivery of market viable, profitable and operationally supported solutions.

 

The FX payments landscape is continuing to evolve – clients now demand simple and cost effective payment methods for complex International payment requirements. Alternate channels like mobile disbursements, International FXACH, etc. are now contributing to almost 60% of the overall International payment traffic. Development of alternate channels network (both in-house and through Global Partners) is one of the most important cornerstones of the FX Product team, as we continue to broaden our FX payments product and support our clients.

 

 

 

About the Team

About the Position

 

FX Product Controls Manager is a regional role and comes with a responsibility for supporting our FX product suite from a risk and global consistency perspective. Candidates will become subject matter experts on existing and new FX product capabilities. The role entails reaffirming existing controls measures are still relevant, sufficient, and necessary as well as projects around implementing new mitigating controls associated to financial risk, regulatory requirements, and reputational risk. Another aspect of the role requires pushing a global consistency initiative from currency offering, payment processing, and business model. Success in the role will require strong partnership, collaboration and engagement with Business Control Officer, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Service, Operations, and Technology. This person should be able to prioritize work accordingly and independently as well as act with a sense of urgency to deliver accurate and timely results.

  • Manage Risk Control Self-Assessment, gathering evidence and input from TS FX Product Managers globally
  • Lead support efforts for Compliance, Audit, and Risk testing
  • Assist TS FX Middle Office with emerging events to document details, root cause, path forward, and status
  • Support Applicability Assessments and New Business Initiative Approval process for new TS FX products or offerings, globally
  • Promote a zero risk tolerance mindset when enforcing controls
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the regions on control changes to promote consistency

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office suite of applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of industry experience and exposure to FX payments processing
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of different payment networks/clearing systems and channels
  • Strong follow through skills and ownership through resolution
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information in a simplistic way
  • Ability to think logically and problem solve issues with little to no guidance
  • Excellent analytical ability and proficient technical skills
  • Provide regular updates on projects and metrics to Senior Management
  • Ability to execute with a sense of urgency from end-to-end, memorializing closing tasks
