Python Software Engineer

Job Description

  • Building/Supporting financial application from end to end as per the firm’s standards strictly following all aspects of full life cycle in agile environment
  • Building/Supporting batch programs from new/migrate from legacy platforms
  • Analyzing business requirements, understand, challenge and convert into technical implementation
  • Strong customer focus, thrive to achieve business results and a great team player
  • Deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Code quality, unit test requirements, code coverage as per Firm’s standards
  • Collaborate with business counterparts from other locations and other infrastructure/release team for any code migration 
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  •  BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  •  Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines  
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems  
  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets 
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices 
  •  Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture 
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages: Python
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement  
  •  7+ year’s strong development experience in Python 
  • Full stack development â€“  UI/UX - Responsive Webpages, Single Page application using Angular/React/Django either with core java or python
  • RESTful Microservices using spring boot & API management with any persistence layer   
  • Porting to Cloud platform experience is a plus   
  • Relational PL/SQL experience is preferred
  • Background in Consumer financial products/RWA/Capital requirements from banking industry is a big plus   
  • Experience in Big Data Technologies – Hadoop eco system, HDFS, HBase, PyImpala and Hive preferred
