Chase is seeking a highly organized and motivated Area Product Owner to help build out the end-to-end digital features for the Identity Verification as a Service platform. In this role, the candidate will be instrumental in helping to drive Chase’s digital capabilities to verify identities of new to bank and non chase customers. The capabilities will also be repurposed for use to help verify existing customers by the Authentication product group.



The Role:

Chase is seeking a highly effective and innovative Digital Area Product Owner to work on the rapidly growing space of business banking with an eye on improving the customer experience.  In this role, the candidate will work on delivering innovative functionality leveraging internal & external tools & partnerships with a focus on New Data Sources for Identity Verification. This individual will have to quickly understand business’ unique needs and apply his/her expertise to help the business drive to a solution that meets user pain points and Chase objectives. He/she will then collaborate with Platform Owner and Feature Product Owners to see through the execution and product development lifecycle. The individual will work closely with the team, internal stakeholders, and third party vendors, to manage an ever evolving roadmap. The services being built are firm wide and agnostic of LOB.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Set the strategy for data sources for identity verification purposes. Align strategy with pain points for risk and business stakeholders and determine prioritization.
  • Build valuation of the new data sources in conjunction with sourcing and business users.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader to collaborate with design, development and line of business  teams to drive new product initiatives focused on securing New Data Sources and Verification “signals” from external partners and internal development
  • Develop products and services that deliver innovative experiences and at the same time remove friction from the banking process;
  • Work collaboratively with business, design and engineering teams to secure funding and ensure delivery of product vision and 6 Quarter roadmap;
  • Own Relationship Management responsibilities across LOB’s, Risk, Compliance, Legal and support staff for Area Product.
  • Create concise, compelling content and business case to present and sell concepts through to senior management;
  • Integrate data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, and company goals to drive prioritization of product initiatives;
  • Help define product initiatives for new features and optimizations of existing ones, and incorporate them into product roadmaps;
  • Understand, manage, and communicate prioritization of features, with a mind toward user and business benefits and tradeoffs.  Identify market opportunities and define product strategy to reflect those;
  • Oversee the cross-functional team across multiple scrum teams, environments teams, QA, designers, content editorial for on-time delivery;
  • Track and analyze metrics compared to industry benchmarks, publish reports on product performance, trends and risks/opportunities for both short and long term;



  • 10 - 15 years of digital product management experience
  • Must be proactive, results driven and have a proven track record of execution
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts according to business need and industry trends;
  • Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions;
  • Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model;
  • Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and calmness under intense pressure;
  • Ability to demonstrate deep knowledge of and experience in deploying agile
  • Strong knowledge of current digital banking trends
  • Demonstrate people management and team-building skills
  • Performed similar role with financial institution, vendor or payments service provider
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors a plus
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Analytical with a focus on KPI’s and measurement
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira and Sharepoint
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field required - BS or MS in computer or software engineering, or comparable field of study.  MBA preferred
