Amgen's 10-12-week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Amgen's Worldwide Compliance & Business Ethics (WC&BE) organization is continually enhancing our Code of Conduct training and communication. We are developing for small groups of learners a series of "micro-learnings" - short, eLearning training modules focusing on certain topics more generally covered in our Code of Conduct.These micro-learnings will use gamification techniques - point scoring, rules of play, etc. to make the trainings interactive, fun, and effective.

The intern will work with the Policy, Training, and Communications Team to:

  • Identify topics for micro-learnings (e.g., social media use, occupational safety, conflicts of interest, and other policies covered in Amgen's Code of Conduct)
  • Develop the e-learning module, including graphics, narrative content, questions and answers, and design elements evoking game playing techniques
  • Work with subject matter experts in developing the eLearning content and identifying the appropriate training audience


The Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption ("ABAC") team is rolling out its global risk assessment to more than 60 affiliates worldwide. The intern will assist in configuring the global risk assessment tool and support senior management with communications, training, and tracking. The intern is provided an opportunity to engage with other WC&BE personnel both here in Thousand Oaks and abroad and provide substantive individual contribution to a high-profile corporate initiative.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a fulltime bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or combined bachelor's/master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work in matrixed environment, good interpersonal, collaboration and facilitation skills

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word

Strong written and oral communication skills
