Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Limited relocation housing and/or transportation allowance may be available for eligible candidates.

As a Training and Development Associate Intern you will be responsible for supporting the Global Learning and Solutions team in developing, implementing and maintaining training solutions for the Global Learning and Performance community and internal Amgen employees. You will use various instructional design software such as the Articulate Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud and interact with Learning Management Systems.

Responsibilities would include designing course-ware, performing quality reviews, establishing assets libraries, supporting virtual training and other assigned responsibilities.

You will have the opportunity to foster connections between learning and development, human resources and information services.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship must meet the following criteria:
  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts


Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree concentration(s) in Education; Instructional Design and Technology; Graphic Design
  • Prior work experience
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused on priorities in a fast paced environment in order to meet deadlines
  • Must be a strong team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues on complex assignments
  • Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
