Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive engagement, social networking and participation in community volunteer projects, while providing a competitive compensation.

Limited relocation housing and/or miscellaneous allowance may be available for eligible candidates

The intern will work closely with the Corporate Strategy team on opportunities that seek to improve Amgen's competitive position. Project scope may cover organic and/or inorganic opportunities, spanning various therapeutic areas, geographic regions, and business units. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing macro/industry environment changes and their impact to Amgen
  • Identifying growth opportunities based on existing and/or new capabilities
  • Cultivating an integrated set of strategic actions with cross-functional leaders
  • Communicating Amgen's strategy to internal and external stakeholders


Basic Qualifications:

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship

Continued enrollment in a full time Bachelor's degree program with an accredited college or university, following the potential internship or co-op assignment

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree concentration(s) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Human Biology, Computer Science, Pre-Medicine, and/or Pre-Law

Students Considering internships and/or careers in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Law, Accounting, Entrepreneurship or Healthcare

Sophomore or junior standing with graduation in either summer of 2021 or summer of 2022

Exceptional financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Effective communication and organizational skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Ability to multi-task and stay focused on priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong team player, with ability to collaborate and execute complex, time-sensitive assignments
