Responsibilities

Position Summary:


Contributes to the company's strategic objectives by assisting in continuously designing, updating, and expanding the sales training programs for the respective SBA assigned, to proactively prepare the sales representatives, agents of the organization and internal personnel to succeed in an ever-changing environment. Coordinates materials and facilities for training sessions, including handouts, supplies, technology, and virtual or physical conference rooms.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • May assist in developing new training courses associate with the introduction of new products or services in coordination with Sales, Marketing and Clinical Support Staff for both the Spine and Orthopedic Strategic Business Areas
  • Assists Marketing and Clinical Support Staff in the preparation of materials for, and execution of, training and development programs by identifying learning objectives; selecting instructional methodologies and presenting instruction.
  • Continuous evaluation of training course effectiveness.
  • Is the key responsible individual that records and tracks attendance at each phase of training.
  • Ensures requirements are met for vendor credentialing.
  • Assists in the evaluation and testing of the sales force as needed.
  • Identifies emerging advances in the market place and updates the training programs as needed.
  • Works closely with AIS Sales, Marketing and Clinical Support Staff to identify customer in-service needs and coordinates training solutions as the project leader.
  • Coordinates co-travel with the Regional Sales Directors, Marketing Departments and Clinical Support Staff for sales development.
  • Evaluates training and development effectiveness by assessing application of learning to job performance; recommending future training and development programs.
  • Prepares training and resource content by identifying purpose; assembling and composing information.
  • Preparation of training materials by different media; SkillSoft, videos, PowerPoint, manuals, training bulletins, CD, brochures etc.
  • Ensures all company policies, programs are incorporated into training protocol.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties and specific projects as assigned.
  • Conducts market research as needed.
  • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual
  • Must embody the Company's Vision, Mission and Values
  • Other duties may be assigned

Secondary or peripheral job functions:

  • Must be able to travel domestically by air and car, and work occasional weekends. Must possess a valid government issued drivers license and passport.
  • Requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Windows, Lotus e-mail, Excel, Power Point and word processing desirable. SAP experience highly desirable.
  • This position may require the handling of instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or other bodily fluids. In compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Aesculap will provide a safe working environment for all employees.

Language and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Required:

  • Requires a BA/BS in Business/Marketing or Biological/Physiological sciences.
  • Requires 2-4 years in customer service, training or educational environment.
  • Requires 3+ years of successful, relatable business experience; preferably in the medical products industry.
  • Management skills, which include problem-solving and customer relations.
  • Selling experience desired but not required.
  • Experience presenting in group forum.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
