About The Job

This job is a member of the Corporate Tax Department within the Finance Division.  The Tax Analyst is responsible for indirect tax reporting for sales and use, fuel, property and federal excise tax.  The ideal candidate will possess between 2-4 years of experience working in domestic transaction tax compliance and have an understanding of tax technology tools. 


Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • ​​Prepare and review transaction tax returns for monthly, quarterly and annual fillings (sales and use, fuel property and federal excise tax)
  • Research transaction tax issues
  • Interpret and comply with state, local and federal statutes, regulations, and legislation
  • Assist with the reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts
  • Prepare for, and assist with, transaction tax audits
  • Identify ways in which technology tools can be applied to projects (e.g. ETL, automation, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)


Required Qualifications

  • ​Bachelor's degree in accounting or business or other four year degree with equivalent accounting experience
  • Experience with all aspects of indirect tax administration
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)


Preferred qualifications

  • Basic understanding of analytical tools (e.g., Alteryx) and visualization platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • 2-4 years of experience in domestic transaction tax compliance
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills utilizing available resources
  • Able to analyze and review statutes, regulations, and case law, as well as extract data and make appropriate recommendations
  • Able to clearly and concisely interface with all levels of management
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment both within the department as well as outside of the department
