Job Description


Global Compliance & Regulatory Management plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm’s compliance mission. The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally. Compliance teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm’s compliance control environment.


Consumer & Community Banking Compliance is responsible for leading and implementing the compliance program across the consumer businesses, including Home Lending, Consumer and Business Banking, Consumer Wealth Management, Card Services, and Auto Finance. The department works with the consumer businesses to ensure practices and policies are appropriately designed and to achieve compliance with both the spirit and intent of applicable laws and regulations, as well as ensuring execution of an effective compliance program.

To accomplish this, the Office of Fair Lending (OFL) oversees the firm’s compliance with fair lending laws.


Key Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be a key member of OFL.  The individual’s primary responsibility will be to:

  • Support the periodic review of the design and performance of BAU activities and controls, identify risks and required actions and work with stakeholders to enhance as appropriate

  • Maintain process flows and metrics, manage changes and provide regular reporting of activities and results


Additional tasks could include:

  • Support multiple projects within OFL related to CORE, internal audits and examinations, issue management, new initiatives; review materials and draft responses and prepare reports and presentations to Senior Management, Audit and Regulators

  • Assist in the review of the Fair Lending Risk Assessment

  • Assist in the development of Compliance plans and strategy for future enhancements to the program

  • Manage ad hoc projects and requests




  • 5 plus years of experience in operations or control specializing in quantitative analysis or models

  • Sound analytical skills, business judgment, problem solving and decision making capabilities

  • Ability to prioritize based on risk and simplify complex processes

  • Experience in risk and control practices

  • Effective communicator with management; ability to articulate concise summaries of situations

  • Strong team player

  • Self-starter and self-developer

  • Strong organization skills

  • Excellent skills using Excel, MS PowerPoint and other Office tools; knowledge of MS Project preferred

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science or related field preferred
