This position reports to the Site Lead of Talent Acquisition and will work out at Amgen's Puerto Rico site, Amgen Manufacturing Limited in Juncos.

AML is Amgen's largest multi-product manufacturing site and most of the combination products comprising Amgen's portfolio move through this 1.7 million square foot biotechnology facility.

About the role

In this hands-on role, you will deliver the full-cycle of recruiting services to our hiring managers, concentrate on technical (Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, Supply Chain) and other key open roles at AML.

You will be instrumental in attracting and retaining high caliber professionals through your delivery of a stellar recruiting service aligned to AML's talent needs.

We are seeking a self-starter with a passion for innovative solutions, proven experience sourcing and closing candidates, and enthusiasm for building a memorable candidate experience that aligns with our mission and culture.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs
  • Partnering with a group of assigned clients with signed requisitions to assist in their recruitment efforts
  • Meet with the hiring manager and learn critical aspects of position, indicators of success, and ideal candidate profile
  • Requisition management / pipeline management
  • Candidate sourcing, recruiting, screening and interviewing
  • Assessing candidate's proficiency for job fit, motivational fit and culture fit
  • Internet research and job board posting strategy and execution
  • Database management; consistently reviewing pipeline for each requisition and disposition candidates job applications accordingly
  • Completing the recruiting process, including facilitating selection, negotiating offers and leading the relationship between the candidate and client.
  • Assessing the current situation in recruiting for the positions you support
  • Build a strong candidate pool for each role that you own
  • Actively identifying and utilizing internal and external resources to seek talent in a high-reaching recruiting environment. Internal resources would include leading ground-breaking recruitment tools and collaborate with site and corporate teams as well as the extensive use of Social Media to identify talent.
  • Streamline current practices of different teams for alignment on standard methodologies, while allowing each team to keep the positive things that make them unique


You will Need

Master's degree and 2 experience

Or

Bachelor's degree and 4 experience

Beyond that, you will also need
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or another Liberal Arts major
  • 4+ years' prior experience performing full recruiting cycle
  • Strong working knowledge of HR Recruiting Platforms preferable Workday
  • Demonstrable experience delivering results by driving innovation and exhibiting your expertise to influence talent decisions
  • Demonstrable track record of building strong pipelines and closing high-quality candidates
  • Experience supporting large organization / customer base
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish combined with organizational skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Strong social skills with high level of maturity
  • Passionate about rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever it takes to get the job done in a face-paced environment
  • Able to work collaboratively across company and with candidates
  • Experience with a wide variety of systems and tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
