Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager in Digital Supply Chain (DSC) organization will be responsible for enabling the use, leading issue resolution, sustainment, and enhancements of key Commercial Product and Raw Material Supply Chain system applications with primary focus on RapidResponse as the network planning execution system; as well as supporting enhancement development of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) system Anaplan and the end-to-end visibility application Tableau.

The DSC role is responsible for managing the intake and resolution of system user requests, leading and performing application updates/enhancements performing business requirements gathering, solution development, testing, implementation and sustainment efforts at a site level as well as driving global network initiatives. The role serves as a liaison between the supply chain and IS organizations translating business requirements into technical specifications ensuring cross system delivery of efficient, agile, integrated business and system processes. Areas of focus for near-term horizon results are continuous improvement on master data accuracy, Inventory Optimization, connected planning, enhancing segmentation system capabilities, automation of manual processes, data and systems integration. Medium to longer term horizon will be driven by Amgen's strategic efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Site Lead serves as the DSC Point of Contact who actively manages system use and performance to site management expectations while maintaining alignment to the global system and business design.
  • Establish and maintain excellent communication lines with site management, Supply Chain Excellence organization, cross functional teams including OIS/IS, raw material and production planning teams.
  • Perform system, reporting, user and data administration activities in RapidResponse enabling Raw Material, Commercial Demand, Supply planning and reporting
  • Deliver business and system training on Planning processes, system functionality, and procedures.
  • Increase adoption and enhanced use of DSC systems delivering automation solutions addressing common and/or critical manual and/or unmet supply chain process needs.
  • Compile and Translate business requirements for process enhancements into technical specifications
  • Analytical and Effective Troubleshooting skills to identify system and supply chain gaps, to develop and implement application and business process mitigations
  • Work effectively with diverse teams up and down the management structure driving for the delivery of global standard processes across the Supply Chain ERP network.
  • Lead project teams in the design and implementation of business / system capabilities focused on creating and leveraging synergy across businesses
  • Support strategic supply chain objectives partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive shared strategic goals per established timelines.
  • Work closely with IS business analysts to ensure Supply Chain requirements are appropriately designed, tested and implemented into the production environments per timeline.
  • Partner with business and technical experts to define processes and procedures, develop data integration, system and automation solutions around the elements of Supply Chain Optimize Inventory, Master Data Accuracy, Connected Planning and Event management.
  • Act as a change leader for transformation by educating, coaching, and influencing teams across businesses organization to deploy integrated, efficient and accurate supply chain technical capabilities.
  • Champion use of analytics and Operational Excellence principles to support process improvement.
  • Orchestrate process discipline around transformation enablers and ensure value realization meets expectations


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience

OR

Associates degree and 10 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with information systems supporting Plan-to-Ship and/or Lifecycle management business processes (including Anaplan, SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, PLM, and other Data platforms)
  • Experience with data diagnostics, discovery, modeling, and visualization (e.g. R, SAS, Minitab, Tableau, Excel)
  • Development experience in RapidResponse application and SAP ERP system
  • Experienced in software / process development lifecycle, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and have demonstrated the ability to (re)design business processes and applying operational excellence techniques.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals
  • Experience with relational databases and ad-hoc queries
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and pharmaceutical processes of GMP and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams / outside parties
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain business processes (Integrated Business Planning, S&OP, Demand / Supply Planning, and Risk Management)
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Strong Finance acumen with experience conducting financial impact assessment and modeling (COGM, COS, etc.)
  • Experience with translating commercial requirements into operational actions inclusive of trade-off analysis
  • Ability to develop insightful strategies based on knowledge of external and internal operating environments
  • Ability to analyze abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables
  • Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis
  • Demonstrated success in Operational Excellence and major change management initiatives
  • Awareness of biopharmaceutical commercial and supply chain trends and developments
  • Strong internal and external network relations
  • Fluency in English: written and oral
  • Experience in working in a global environment, ability to liaise/communicate effectively at different management levels
  • Ability to liaise/communicate effectively and easily with cross-functional teams and different cultures
