About The Job

This job is a member of the Mainenance Control Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for providing oversight, guidance and direction ensuring our Technical Operations maintenance organizations; have clear priorities and support required to facilitate the return to service of out of service aircraft and/or assigned workload. This job supports the action and responsibilities of the Manager,
Maintenance Control.


Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Supervises MOC employees to facilitate aircraft return to service
  • Oversees logistical organization and control of field trips, special permit aircraft operation and Functional/Heavy Check flights
  • Monitors and evaluates out of service events, and research history, repetitive events, complexity etc.
  • Coordinates impromptu teleconferences
  • Researches information for various daily Technical Operations reports
  • Facilitates and/or supports Company interdepartmental meetings and processes
  • Coordinates and chairs conference calls
  • Ensures compliance with all MOC processes and procedures when on shift
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent related experience/training
  • 3 years experience in commercial airline maintenance operations. This could be Line or Base maintenance and prior Maintenance Control (or combination there of)
  • Must possess a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certification


Preferred Qualifications

  • Maintenance Control experience
  • Experience with AA maintenance procedures and familiar with regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and use of digital technical manuals
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be capable of operating in a fast paced, time constrained environment
  • Must have verbal and Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and at all levels throughout the organization
  • Effective leadership skills and problem-solving techniques
