The Strategic Planning & Operations Director for Global Product Strategy & Commercial Innovation (GPS & CI) in the Hematology/Oncology therapeutic area is responsible for driving execution and performance for strategic imperatives, behavioral objectives, and tactics. This role will work closely with the TA Head to deliver on key strategic and operational projects.

In addition to providing strategic counsel to the VP and TA head, Hematology-Oncology, the SPO Director will serve as a leader and facilitator of cross-functional and cross-regional communication and alignment of key initiatives, such as driving commercialization strategy, innovation, prioritization, and resource optimization. The SPO will also serve as a key liaison with the regions on relevant pipeline assets and business development opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Lead cross-functional and cross-regional GPS & CI strategic initiatives (innovation, capabilities evolution, prioritization and resource optimization, TA strategies, goal setting, launch planning, budgeting and portfolio management)

Administer the activities of the Franchise Strategy Committee (FSC) including agendas, best practices, follow up and metrics to assess performance

As "Chief of Staff" to FSC co-chair, facilitate ongoing operations and lead specific projects

Partner with Development, Regulatory, and Operations on planning and commercialization activities

Ensure TA Head VP has broad view of key considerations, and elevate issues as necessary

Formulate recommendations for key decisions to be made by TA Head VP

Attend and/or facilitate meetings on behalf of TA Head VP

Manage day-to-day operations for complex projects

Track and manage TA resources, including headcount and budget

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of project management experience

OR

Master's degree and 7 years of project management experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 9 years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including marketing, access, and/or sales

Strategic planning and/or consulting experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

Scientific research experience and/or scientific literacy, particularly in diseases covered by the therapeutic area

Ability to translate high volumes of ambiguous or conflicting information into crisp and actionable insights

Foresight and creativity in anticipating and resolving complex project and team issues

Exemplary interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical and project management skills

Demonstrated capacity to drive cross functional workstreams which may include senior management

Demonstrated ability to build relationships across functions and at all levels, including senior management

Demonstrated ability to influence others while fostering an environment of high performance and fairness

Demonstrated ability to understand, plan, and navigate in a highly matrixed work environment

Demonstrated ability to navigate and conform to Commercialization and Corporate Governance processes

Goal oriented and results driven
