This role will prepare project and divisional financial statements and perform various routine and unique financial analyses for revenue, cost, and profit. Additionally, the role will maintain, develop, and implement accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for construction projects and regional offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist project teams in identification and management of financial opportunities and risks, and in developing and implementing strategies to realize opportunities and mitigate risk.
2. Support efforts to improve project financial and schedule performance to meet project objectives and maximize profitability.
3. Monitor and manage various aspects of cash flow.
4. Lead, direct and coordinate construction accounting functions working within one or more areas, such as accounts payable, payroll, billing or job costing for major projects and operating departments.
5. Prepare and/or review appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations and assist in maintaining Overhead budgets.
6. Manage, lead and develop accounting staff.
7. Lead and coordinate client audits.
8. Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
9. Support project teams on meeting contract requirements and financial goals.
10. Other duties as assigned.


Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Possess strong analytical abilities. Capability to handle multiple priorities with good organizational and time management skills. Advanced communication skills with ability to interact with people in all areas of the Company. Strong values and character that align with core Company values. Able to identify and improve systems and procedures while maintaining attention to detail.


Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of similar work experience required. Background within construction industry preferred.

Travel, Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard, regularly travels (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation), and occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.
