Position Summary:

The Senior Inventory Analyst role is extremely import for the overall success of the company and creating/maintaining the number one department in the company.

As a leader in the asset and inventory group, the Senior Inventory Analyst role has four main priorities designed to maximize inventory levels. The first priority is building and sustaining the appropriate partnerships with various internal team members to drive inventory accuracy. The second priority is to lead the daily cycle counts to support the program. The third responsibility is leading continuous improvement activities to maximize value-add activity. The fourth priority is performing root cause analysis and providing data to support the implementation of sustainable countermeasures.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Manage and improve inventory accuracy utilizing the Cycle Count Program.
  • Meet or exceed inventory accuracy targets.
  • Reconcile, maintain and analyze inventory balances associated with assigned warehouses.
  • Maintains files for the Cycle Count program.
  • Document and sign-off on all write-offs and write-ons associated with Cycle Count Variances.
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies with warehouse inventories.
  • Daily utilization of the inventory management system (SAP) to reconcile discrepancies in the system to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Lead daily activities associated with the Cycle Count Program.
  • Successfully lead more than one continuous improvement team to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Successfully lead multiple MBO (s) (manage by objectives) for the department and/or company.
  • Lead the development of multiple policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure quality and cost control improvements.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as needed.
  • Lead PwC audits to ensure Cycle Count Program compliance.
  • Assist in Physical inventories where needed.
  • Understand and communicate trend charts, Pareto analysis and status to the top action items effectively.
  • Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality Manual.
  • Must demonstrate the Company’s Code of Business Conduct; Vision, Mission and Values and Cultural Beliefs, daily.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Secondary or peripheral job functions:

  • Must stay up to date on company needs/goals, market conditions and quality to support department and company financial objectives.
  • Ability to work extra hours and flexible shifts, including some weekends if needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required, communication skills required both verbally/orally.
  • This position requires the handling of instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or other bodily fluids. In compliance with OSHA regulations, Aesculap will provide a safe working environment for all employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Manager assist in day to day training activities.


Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:

  • BS/BA Required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years experience implementing/managing a Cycle Count Program.
  • 10+ years experience in SAP (or comparable ERP system), preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in project management and/or continuous improvement preferred.
  • 10+ years inventory control experience in an automated warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience).
  • Advanced knowledge of Pareto and Root Cause Analysis.
  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma or continuous improvement or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in medical device industry and FDA requirements preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SOP/GMP instructions and guidelines.
  • Previous experience working with mainframe based warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Ability to be a team player and work with minimal supervision.

Language and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
