Amgen is searching for a Senior Associate Records and Information Management IS Analyst in our Records and Information Management (RIM) area. This role will work with the Sr. Manager, Records and Information Management Compliance based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's new Capability Center.

The Senior Associate will work closely with Information Systems partners and Records and Information Management (RIM) leadership in both Tampa, FL and Thousand Oaks, CA to improve, enhance and modernize records and information management capabilities, security of information, and partner confidence.

Information security, information management and compliance teams need to think and act differently in today's business and technology environment, and leaders must fundamentally rethink their approach to information governance, record keeping principles risk management, business engagement, operations and staff skills to meet these challenges.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for technical and business analysis that supports: implementation of advanced classification, labeling, handling, and protection systems that cover unstructured content

Partner with the cyber security team to identify evolving data protection risks, threats trends, and tools while closely working with technical teams to identify compliance and information management improvements for enterprise content management and collaboration systems

Drive user adoption through continuous improvement of tools and processes while engaging business partners to build solutions following IS methodologies as well as RIM best practices

Independently identifies, assesses and resolves technology and process issues while interacting with Amgen's Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Records and Information Management teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized to protect company information

Monitor records management compliance requirements and controls

Liaise with business units to ensure good information practices and controls are effective and appropriately meet meaningful information risk, policy and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with IS teams to drive value propositions for content management, search, analytics, and collaboration systems

Socialize and maintain good information management practices, portals, mentorship and training across the enterprise

Support and advise staff globally with standard methodologies for reducing their physical footprint in compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations

Experience supporting effective records and information management policies enterprise-wide

Understands how to guide and educate staff in good information management practices and how to effectively manage their physical and electronic information

Understands data classification, data protection and records retention, what drives each, and how each is significant to information management standard methodologies

Ability to identify and inform management of issues that impact records and information management compliance

Experience writing new and evolving existing records and information management policies, and interpret meaningful legislation and regulations that drive policy

Customer service experience and management of global information management services

Experience managing vendors

Exhibits good communication and consulting skills relevant to information management and the management of global information management services

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Management experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Management experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Management
  • Experience working with legal organizations and Privacy
  • Experience as a RIM specialist supporting information management projects with tool sets including: data classification, labeling and protection of unstructured content
  • Customer service experience exhibiting good communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical expertise relevant to information management
  • Shown ability to communicate processes then, follow accepted IS policies and standards while working independently and providing recommendations on strategies
  • Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, facilitation, work planning, a troubleshooting aptitude, and multitasking using intellectual curiosity to collaborate actively with thought partners across disciplines
  • Experience working in a dynamic team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, document, manage, and communicate processes then, follow accepted IS policies and standards while working independently and providing recommendations on strategies
  • Understanding of software development life cycle and the ability to assess new technology capabilities as they present themselves in the market with a proven capacity to move products from Demo and Proof of Concept to Pilot and Production quickly
