  • Responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of Engineering centric training content using Instructional Systems Design principles. This position will lead training development efforts, communicate training opportunities, enroll students in classes, schedule classrooms, facilitate meetings and manage training content.
  • This job is a member of the Tech Ops Training Program Development Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
What you'll do
  • Receives course requests from Engineering management
  • Identifies subject matter expert (SME) and instructor to develop courses
  • Guides SME and instructor through the course development process
  • Acts as project manager ensuring agreed upon development and delivery milestones are met
  • Manages access to the Engineering Training Portal
  • Books training rooms through Tech Ops Training and AA Training and Conference Center or other venues as necessary
  • Researchs manufacturer, vendor and leadership training opportunities and post opportunities on internal websites
  • Manages enrollments for manufacturer, vendor and leadership training
  • Schedules classes in the Learning Management System and Engineering Training Portal
  • Sets up, schedule and facilitate beta presentations
  • Communicates course offerings and manage enrollments
  • Sends out reminders to students and instructors for upcoming classes
  • Coordinates course material approval from the Regulatory Standards team
  • Facilitates instructor scheduling and send schedule notices to instructors
  • Be onsite prior to and during class presentations to ensure classroom is set up, required materials are present and take attendance utilizing class roster
  • Files rosters with Tech Ops Training to be recorded in LMS
  • Reviews class feedback and forward to SME and instructor
  • Manages regular maintenance and revisions of courses
  • Management and upkeep of the Engineering Training Portal SharePoint site
  • Travels, as required
  • May be required to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 3 years curriculum development experience
  • Practical experience using ISD principles and the ADDIE process to include adult learning theories, interactive training and learning design, and e-learning design principles

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Training/Curriculum Development, Education, or related field
  • Experience with developing technical training programs
  • Previous project management experience

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Proficient in MS Office, Macromedia and Adobe products
  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, including building and maintaining SharePoint workflows
  • Standard computing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good teamwork skills
