Chase Merchant Services (CMS) is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co.   Merchant Services is the world’s leading merchant acquirer with over $1 trillion in annual transaction volume in 2017. Job Description:  As a technology client consultant (TCC) you will be accountable for defining the strategic design patterns and optimal architecture for our largest clients to integrate with CMS.  This will include gaining an in depth understanding of the new merchant’s internal platform and third party usage.  Obtaining their technical requirements in order to decide and/or validate the optimal CMS platform(s) for onboarding.  The TCC will be accountable for reviewing and signing off on the statement of work acts as a contractual agreement between Chase and the merchant and continuing to provide subject matter expertise and validation for the end to end project.  In addition, onsite visits may be required for initial discovery sessions with the expectation the TCC can answer questions about the end to end CMS technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • CMS technology subject matter expert to interface with new enterprise clients
  • Develop a strong understanding of optimal processing patterns across all CMS platforms  based on client needs
  • Support the client during the end to end onboarding through implementation
  • Partner closely with core engineering teams and product to ensure all requirements are within the sell box and to identify where they are not and require development changes.
  • Partner with CMS product, operations & technology to effectively and strategically onboard enterprise clients

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science / related field of study or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in systems development life cycle including waterfall and agile delivery SDLC
  • 5-10 years of payments processing and merchant acquiring experience is preferred
  • Experience with Stratus (strongly preferred), Tandem, C/C++ - general platform knowledge of JPMC internal applications.
  • Point of sale and ecommerce platform knowledge preferred
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex systemic processes in a concise simple and relevant manner to external partners
  • Experience/understanding of business process re-engineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
  • Ability to work independently and develop creative way to achieve goals
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
