Software Engineer Lead - Consumer and Community Banking Controls Technology

Responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery.
Participate in Release and Iteration Planning meetings with the team and other key stakeholders.
Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value.
Work with architects, vendors and other units in the organization to develop product and services roadmap
Review work of team members to ensure high-quality solutions.
Mentor junior team members to progress their technical and professional skills. Be open and actively seeking learning opportunities from more senior team members.
Build and maintain strong rapport with other Internal Technology groups and Business partners.
Participate in hub related activities such as Code/Force for Good/Hackthons and College Campus recruiting (when time permits).
Volunteer time when possible for Social Good and give back to community.
Assist with hiring talent by screening/interview candidates.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Master or BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages: Java, J2EE
Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
10+ years of experience in design and development
Experience of leading a team in an Agile environment.
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken forms)
Technical Skills:
Java – Expert level implementation skills with Java and J2EE.
Spring –Expert level implementation skills with the Core Spring Framework including experience with Spring MVC.
SCM - Strong experience working with an SCM tool like Subversion or Git.
Maven – Strong experience working with Maven as a build tool including a firm understanding of Maven standards and common practices.
Database –Implementation skills with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA or MyBatis. Must be proficient in SQL preferably across multiple databases. Adequate with MongoDb / Cassandra.
Operating Systems – Basic knowledge of Unix platform and commands
Content Management – Experience of developing for Content Management platforms is a plus.
Adequate with Data Modeling fundamentals.
Cloud knowledge is a must (AWS/Google/Azure)
Proficient with API/MicroServices/Docker
Strong understanding of BigData / AI & Machine Learning is a plus
