Overview

The Systems Administrator provide technical support regarding desktop environment, systems deployment, and infrastructure operations. Design, build, implement, and troubleshoot a variety of information systems. Provide technical support on existing and emerging technologies, planning and execution of technology projects, execution of technology related tasks and initiatives. Research and report on new technologies and how they provide value to the organization.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting Tier II and Tier III level desktop and server issues
  • Provide customer support remotely as well as in person to a 500+ user environment.
  • Responsible for monitoring system health across the desktop environment and infrastructure; this includes datacenter operations such as VMWare, network switches and routers, firewalls, as well as other infrastructure equipment.
  • Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems
  • Responsible for configuring, installing, troubleshooting the Microsoft stack of technologies, including Windows Desktop and Server OS, Active Directory, and Office365
  • Work with business staff to identify and provide IT solutions
  • Keep abreast of technological changes and innovations in the computer field, specifically desktop, infrastructure and cloud, including to but not limited to, Microsoft Technologies. Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
  • Identify inefficiencies and redundancies in tech procedures, implementing automation when possible
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
