Position Description:

Senior Program
Analyst, Covidien LP (a Medtronic company), Carlsbad, CA. Responsible for
coordination of high-tech Ventilation medical device product development
maintenance projects involving groups across a broad range of cross-functional
departments and numerous and diverse outside vendors. Contributes to defining
the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans
based on business strategy with a significant impact on work group results.
Ensures project scope includes input from all functional areas and works to
initiates stage gate entry. Facilitates communication to key stakeholders on
project performance and coordinates risk activities and employs strategies to
address. Provides project coordination in a stage-gate system and works with
international groups and engineering service providers.Coordinates with various department on
project milestones to include Software, Regulatory, Hardware, Manufacturing,
Quality Assurance, Marketing, external business partners and vendors. Utilizes
Design for Reliability and Manufacturability, hardware and software
development, validation and systems integration. Exercise broad knowledge of
product development to include success of multiple projects from conception
through commercialization. Navigates various complex FDA and ISO medical device
projects from concept to market. Mastery of project coordination using Theory
of Constraints/ ProChain, Project Scheduling. Utilizes software development
Lifecycle and Agile Project systems. Uses various software systems to include
JIRA, Confluence, Adobe, Oracle Agile and IBM RequisitePro. Exercises
considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limited
oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews, trains and delegates work to team
members within job area.


Basic Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Biomedical Engineering or closely
related engineering field and 2 years of experience with product development
verification. Must possess a
minimum of 2 years of experience with each of the following: Project
coordination in a stage-gate system and working with international groups and
engineering service providers; coordinating with Software, Regulatory,
Hardware, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Marketing, external business
partners and vendors; Design for Reliability and Manufacturability, hardware
and software development, validation and systems integration; project
coordination to include success of multiple projects from conception through
commercialization; navigating complex FDA and ISO medical device projects from
concept to market; project coordination using Theory of Constraints; software
development Lifecycle and Agile Project systems; and software systems to
include Agile project scheduling and issue tracking software and Adobe.
