The Market Access Program Office is a center of excellence, which drives strategic decisions and cross-functional coordination for Amgen's account strategy and operations. Market Access is a customer-facing team responsible for the Amgen portfolio with important accounts including national and regional payers, Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBMs), and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). The Senior Marketing Coordinator position will be located at U.S. headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA and will report to the Value & Access Director, Market Access Program Office.

We are seeking individuals who are ready to make a positive impact and leverage their talents to drive performance and innovation. As an important member of the Market Access Program Office, the purpose of this role is to provide critical support to the Market Access organization in the following areas: 1) project management 2) budget management 3) presentation development 4) other marketing activities. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing projects for assigned strategic initiatives. The individual will work with multiple internal cross-functional groups including compliance, legal, regulatory, business analytics, value and access marketing.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate's degree and 4 years of marketing and/or sales experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of marketing and/or sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, decision making and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance culture
  • Computer skills; strong technical use of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • High learning agility and strong willingness to learn
  • Project management skills, proficiency in logistic planning from beginning to end, priority
  • setting, timely delivery of results, and multi-tasking
  • Ability to think critically, proactively anticipate problems and propose solutions
  • Ability to work effectively/collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to work independently and with ambiguity
  • 1 or more years of experience working closely with marketing, compliance, healthcare company or related industry experience highly desired
  • Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative, goal oriented and results driven
  • Understanding of the healthcare and biopharmaceutical industries
  • Receptivity to regular coaching and feedback from management and peer
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a constantly evolving work environment
