The Senior Associate in the CBSS - Bio-analytical Science department will be responsible for analyzing samples and documenting the results in a regulated manner using good laboratory practices.

Job Responsibilities

This job description is intended to outline the minimum requirements at this job level, and includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
  • Monitors or follows established experimental design and protocols with moderate supervision to obtain reproducible and reliable results
  • Plans, monitors or conducts, analyzes and records experiments
  • Suggests experimental methods to transfer from literature to the lab
  • Broaden knowledge base and understanding of relevant field
  • Participates in the design of protocols and procedures
  • Effectively communicates with supervisor and coworkers on relevant scientific topics
  • Presents and participates in group/department/team activities, meetings, training and seminars
  • Conducts quality control review of data
  • Effective in the use of one or more computer software programs for analyzing scientific data
  • Effectively uses or able to evaluate the use of one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques including routine maintenance, calibration and basic troubleshooting
  • Assists in the preparation of a final reports, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or SOPs
  • Helps to implement safety guidelines and may influence safety guidelines
  • May instruct others


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Scientific experience
