The Senior Associate, Coverage & Pricing is a key member of the U.S. Value & Access organization responsible for engaging with subject matter experts and business units to support the development and execution of pricing, reimbursement, and contracting strategy to achieve and maintain payer coverage and provider adoption goals. The Senior Associate will conduct qualitative and quantitative pricing/contracting analyses to support pricing

The Senior Associate will gather, analyze and synthesize cross-functional information across a variety of sources to support scenario-planning and customer insight development. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, the candidate will be a key support for the Market Access teams for product-specific contract negotiations. This role interacts cross functionally with Value Strategy & Marketing, Patient Access, Ecosystems & Insights, Sales, Brand Marketing, Government Affairs, Trade & Distribution, Business Unit Leadership, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.

This role will provide a strong foundation in the U.S. healthcare market and is a good avenue to many future commercial healthcare roles. Amgen has strong training, education, and mentoring programs to ensure staff are successful.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Support Coverage & Pricing strategic planning and forecasts for products including Prolia, Evenity, and AVSOLA
  • Partner with Contract Operations to implement pricing strategies and contracts
  • Participate in pricing and contracting scenarios, contract decisions and LEDR
  • Track Market Access payer coverage/POA goals and support dashboard activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; proactively seeks buy-in and provides on-going support to address business needs
  • Ensure alignment in strategy and execution of the plan with cross-functional teams including Brand, Medical, Patient Access, Value Marketing, GHE, Trade, and Policy
  • Support ad-hoc requests by senior leadership for product and/or customer related business analytics and strategy


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, and/or sales operations experience

OR

Associates degree and 6 years of commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, and/or sales operations experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, and/or sales operations experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, and/or sales operations experience in a biopharma or related business environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with advanced modeling in excel
  • Ability to partner cross functionally
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and leadership experience
  • Previous experience providing and delivering information for decision making by executive management
  • Adapts and thrives in a rapidly changing and fast-moving environment
  • Experience solving complex business problems and managing multiple projects concurrently
