Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries

Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) is a Commercial Banking business located in 117 offices across the US and Canada. MMBSI provides credit, cash management, capital markets and corporate finance advisory solutions to corporations, municipalities and not-for-profit entities via our Core Banking and Specialized Industries teams. Banking teams generally focus on clients with annual revenues of $20 million to $500 million. Role

The Treasury Solutions Sales Group Manager TDCLS West reports to the Head of Middle Market Treasury Services Sales for Technology, Disruptive Commerce and Life Sciences. The role is responsible for developing and executing our TDCLS Strategy on the West Coast, leading over 10+ Treasury Sales professionals, establishing relationships across Commercial Bank leadership; Bankers, Client Service, Treasury Product and Implementation teams. The Treasury Solutions Sales Group Manager plays a key role in the development of the Treasury Management Officers, Associates and Analysts.

 
Responsibilities
 
  • Lead regional team of Treasury Sales Officers to deliver business growth objectives
  • Recruit, train, lead, coach, and motivate Technology, Disruptove Commerce & Life Sciences Market Team
  • Monitor staff performance, provides coaching, recognition and feedback
  • Oversees Middle Market TDCLS West Treasury Solutions budget, sales goals and P&L
  • Develop, monitor and analyze performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness relative to key metric performance and goals
  • Work with Middle Market leadership to formulate and execute market strategy for Treasury Solutions
  • Develop regional/district strategies to drive growth
  • Build collaborative internal relationships
  • Participates in partner meetings and communicates key Treasury Management messages
  • Cultivate larger prospect relationships of regional/national scope
  • Oversee the development of actionable relationship plans for select clients
  • Manage, guide and coach development of client proposals/presentations
  • Engages in a disciplined marketing process and quality call activities
  • Manages customer expectations by communicating upfront timelines and deliverables
  • Partners with the client to ensure a successful implementation of Treasury Solutions
  • Protects the firm by applying sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead/execute special projects and assignments 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in Treasury Services, Financial Services or related business experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience in managing geographically distributed team, and managing managers
  • Deep understanding and direct experience with the Technology, Disruptive Commerce & Life Sciencecs market.
  • Sales management in an outside business to business sales environment with a documented track record of success / top performance
  • Strong understanding of C&I Treasury Market
  • Strong coaching, motivation and leadership skills; ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote field sales managers
  • Ability to develop, drive and articulate strategy and vision for the team and lead a sales force

  • Performance Measurement – Sense of urgency and ability to manage and direct staff and deliver all facets of performance management (coaching, career mobility, reviews, action plans, etc.) Ability to measure key performance metrics and drive organization accordingly
  • Business Acumen – Ability to understand the overarching Middle Market Treasury Service business environment both internally and externally. Ability to drive business results in alignment with strategic objectives. Ability to drive and manage process and controls.
  • Other Key Competencies include: change management, process management, coaching, strategic leadership, consultancy, delegation, interviewing, exceptional presentation skills
  • Knowledge of credit card industry, banking environment, or merchant services is preferred, but not required
  • Available for extensive travel (at least 75%)
