The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling Campus Management's ERP solution to higher education institutions within a defined territory and achieving an annual bookings goal. RSM will have full responsibility for developing and managing a territory, building strong, strategic relationships with C-level executives at the institutions in your territory, managing the entire strategic sales cycle to bring new institutions into our customer community, and achieving the goals set out for you by the Company, including your annual bookings quota.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Proactive prospecting and developing leads through, but not limited to, telephone, e-mail, conference participation, and direct customer contact.
  • Selling into not-for-profit and for-profit higher education institutions in a geographically-based territory of the Western United States.
  • Driving the sales cycle which includes:
    • Prospecting
    • Follow-up on leads generated from numerous channels
    • Proposal writing
    • Developing and executing account-specific sales strategy
    • Identifying and scheduling technical and other resources from various departments within the company that should be involved in the sales cycle
    • Selling full range of software products and service offerings
    • Building pricing models for the proposed solution
    • Negotiating contracts and closing the sale in conjunction with the company's Legal team throughout the contracting process
  • Providing expertise and industry knowledge in the ERP and CRM space, with emphasis on solutions for higher education customers.
  • Enterprise application sales experience (10+ years) with ERP and/or CRM solution vendors.
  • Experience selling strategic solutions into the higher education market.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning/SIS experience highly preferred.
  • Ability in solution selling, including ability to call on senior level administrators and business functional executives at colleges and universities, understanding and discussing strategic business objectives.
  • Ability to present and discuss functional and technical issues over the phone or in e-mail handling objections in a polished, well-spoken manner.
  • Thorough understanding of all stages of the sales cycle with ability to take primary responsibility for maintaining sales momentum in all phases.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving/exceeding quota.
  • Knowledge of and existing relationships with executives within higher education environment is preferred.
  • Extensive travel required; remote office must be appropriately equipped and be ergonomically acceptable.
