The Party Reference Data Utility is a firmwide function supporting all lines of business.  Parties include clients, issuers, obligors, guarantors, counterparties, exchanges, etc.  The Utility is responsible for managing party data throughout its lifecycle, from onboarding to disposition.  Party reference data is at the heart of every transaction executed by the firm.  Reference data connects parties to contracts, parties to accounts, and parties to transactions.  JPMC is on a multi-year journey to transform the way we capture, structure, and store party reference data.  We are building a scalable, flexible platform to meet evolving business and regulatory demands with the goals of improving the client experience, simplifying operations, and enhancing analytical capabilities. 

The Party Reference Data Access Management and Privacy Manager is a new change management role to lead cross-functional strategic and business as usual initiatives on assessing privacy risks, controls and compliance, including entitlements.  This includes managing and maintaining the tools and process, defining operating model, facilitating appropriate review and involvement of different regional/LOB Compliance teams with cross-functional teams.      The role is responsible for the following activities:

 

  • Drive effective execution of privacy requirements, maintenance of privacy related procedures & adherence to  procedures; including ownership of BAU entitlements and recertification process

  • Lead strategic entitlements program to redesign  process/tools and migration implementation

  • Assess and solution impact of privacy regulatory changes on the business & technology operations, processes or procedures

  • Participate in privacy workgroups, or strategic projects that require business engagement and attend respective Privacy Compliance Forum and Control Committees as needed on business privacy matters

  • Partner with Reference Data Strategy to implement the future state data models and domains, include defining the target operating model within the Utility

  • Privacy Incident - Identify, report, and remediate privacy issues in FORCE or other system of record; where appropriate take ownership for actions in FORCE with respect to areas such as execution of controls

  • Training - Ensure completion of Privacy training & work within Party Reference Data Change Management team to develop specific training modules & awareness forums

  • Minimum 5 - 10 years of related regulatory/compliance experience required; Data management, process management, business process reengineering a plus

  • Strong knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations and compliance standards

  • Leadership experience with proven ability to gain commitment and influence change

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellence in team building, strategic thinking and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments, including operational impacts

  • High energy and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Strong operations or project management experience leading large scale, complex and time sensitive projects

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other reporting tools

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification a plus

  • Regulatory Change Experience a plus
