ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The team you will represent is pivotal to our Sales Organization. Your contributions in this role will impact the success of our global Sales Organization.

The focus of this role is Sales Support and Order Management.

Interface & Collaboration

Report directly to the Senior Manager, Order Management, you will be an integral part of the Sales Operations Organization.

You will collaborate with Account Managers/Inside Sales, Deal Desk, Finance (Revenue, Credit, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Role supports several key processes - quoting and order processing
  • Must be comfortable working in a cross functional environment with team members from Sales, Legal/Contracts Finance, Revenue, IT and other departments as required
  • Resolve routine customer issues
  • Provide product, pricing and delivery information to customers and sales personnel
  • Validate customer purchase orders
  • Act as a liaison between sales, customer and internal departments
  • Actively assist Finance in resolution of collection issues
  • Provide all post-sales support, including software updates, key requests, database changes and other related issues
  • Contributes to continuous business process review and improvement
  • Meets documented quarterly goals
  • Interfacing with our customers, following up on purchase orders, agreements and questions relating to the transaction(s).
  • Ensure database standards
    • Clean-up and modify fields to match guidelines
    • Reduce redundant information through data merging and obsoleting
  • Update data records when changes are required
    • Includes project mass clean-up
    • Respond to requests from Sales, Legal, Finance or Order Management (dbchanges queue)
    • Report and correct records when standards/guidelines are not followed
    • Track database problems reported by operations
  • Provide feedback on reported problems
  • Provide reporting to identify issues
  • Application testing
  • Provide feedback and analysis of testing scenarios
  • Participate in testing of Oracle modules, CRM systems as requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5 plus years of related responsibility and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Oracle (Order Management and Services Contracts) and Salesforce.com (Sales Cloud)
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self-started, works collaboratively across multiple disciplines and organizations
  • Has ability to think conceptually and is a resourceful problem solver
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • Familiar with sales process

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Savvy with computer systems and software (Windows, MS Office, Adobe, Etc)
  • Team player—good personality fit. This is a support role, needs to be a team player and ability to communicate well, interact with team and other departments

Qualifications

  • CRM and ERP experience and college is a Plus, but not the most important—I’ve had success with folks who didn’t have this initial expertise but were fast learners—Franziska included!
