Overview

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world's leading conservation organization, seeks a Prospect Management Associate Specialist in our Washington, DC office. Under the direction of the Deputy Director for Prospect Management, the Prospect Management Specialist is responsible for implementing the prospect management system for relationship managers who work with WWF's corporate and government constituents to align with WWF's overall prospect management system. Once the system is implemented, the PM Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, monitoring and continuing operation of the prospect management system for the Private Sector Engagement and US Government Relations teams. The Prospect Management Specialist plays a critical role in analyzing prospect portfolios and providing accurate reports regarding the status of the portfolios, contacts, movement through solicitation cycles, and related prospecting activity.



Responsibilities

  • Implement the prospect management system for the Private Sector Engagement and US Government Relations teams to align with the organization-wide prospect management system.
  • Lead regular training sessions (individual and group) for staff at all levels focusing on prospect management data functions and policies.
  • Work closely with Private Sector Engagement and US Government Relations team members to implement and maintain new reporting within the CRM donor database.
  • Lead portfolio reviews for the Private Sector Engagement and US Government Relations teams to maintain prospect management data in the CRM donor database.
  • Produce customized metrics reports related to activity measures, solicitation activity, assignments, gifts and other data necessary to inform business decisions by team leadership.
  • Perform prospect management system audits and other data integrity operations such as prospect record creation and various cleanup projects as needed.
  • Create policy and procure documentation related to the Private Sector Engagement and US Government Relations teams' use of the CRM donor database and prospect management system.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, plus 2 years of development related experience supporting Gift Officers or working with development systems. Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to manage large data projects with flawless attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM or other constituent management databases is required
  • Ability to construct complex, accurate reports from database system data is preferred
  • Knowledge of corporate and U.S. Government fundraising preferred
  • Demonstrated comprehension of standard development practices and techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, accurately and concisely
  • Excellent organizational and analytical ability and judgment
  • Ability to self-motivate and work well with and through others
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet short deadlines
  • Possess a demonstrated interest in environmental policy and conservation issues and a commitment to the goals of WWF
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to bridge relationships and communication between multiple departments
