About The Job

This job falls within the Corporate Safety Team under the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for supporting the Corporate Safety team in assessing, analyzing data which includes trending, planning, and executing projects of varying scope and complexity in the pursuit of safety excellence. This position will also serve as the focal point for analyzing the prevention of injuries and accidents. In addition, this individual will create and communicate safety bulletins, material based on program needs, required deliverables and data collection/analysis.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Develops solutions collaboratively with the Corporate Safety team to drive process improvements
  • Compiles, analyzes, and delivers periodic and ad hoc reports, summaries, and presentations on safety-related data and information for departmental and station leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Has frequent interaction, collaboration, and presentation of information to all customer levels both internally and externally
  • Coordinates, conducts, and/or attends meetings on behalf of Corporate Safety as a stakeholder for subject matter expertise input in multiple corporate decision making processes
  • Develops and facilitates safety related communications for local and system distribution
  • Maintains aircraft damage database reporting, analysis, follow-up and coding for mainline and regional activities
  • Some tasks require working outside in a ramp operations environment sometimes exposed to extreme weather elements
  • On-call response during off scheduled work hours will be required on short notice
  • Some travel may be required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 4 years airline customer operations and/or customer care work experience and/or safety related experience
  • 3 years prior leadership experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Aviation Specific education
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of airline/aircraft operations
  • Highly motivated with positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, events, and programs simultaneously
  • Excellent customer facing and internal and external communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
  • Ability to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently
