About The Job

This job falls in the Crew Scheduling Team within the Integrated Operations Division. This position will be responsible for providing support to all American Airline crew stakeholders (i.e. Labor, Crew Planning, Legal,  Finance, IT, etc.) as well as with the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) on Flight Attendant Crew Scheduling and Tracking issues.  This job also researches and responds to all items related to Flight Attendants within the Crew Scheduling organization partnering with Crew Scheduling Training and the Crew Scheduling Operations team to ensure that all training materials are compliant with current contracts and agreed upon practices.  This job also serves as AA Flight Attendant JCBA contract subject matter expert.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Leads all research and responses to close compliance requests from the APFA, Flight Service, individual crew members, and all other stakeholders
  • Participates in Flight Attendant contract negotiations on behalf of Crew Scheduling
  • Collaborates with Flight Attendant Project team and IT providing business requirements for Flight Attendant projects and implementation
  • Assists Crew Scheduling Training team in development and facilitation of training material, as needed
  • Participates in all activity associated with the automation and implementation of the Flight Attendant JCBA
  • Develops presentations and various materials associated with crew contracts
  • Coordinates and attends all contract compliance meetings with APFA including (but not limited to) call reviews, and Crew Compensation inquiries
  • Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Must be able to travel for work as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years’ experience in a Crew Scheduling or Crew Resource environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement and other related documents
  • Demonstrated ability to lead based on the American Airlines leadership model
  • Strong customer service focus (internal and external)
  • Knowledge of various operational and administrative processes associated with crew scheduling and contracts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of airline applications
  • Knowledge of quality management, program analysis skills and testing techniques
  • Knowledge of FOS SABRE
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
