The Pre-pivotal Drug Product Technologies department is seeking a Senior Associate to support formulation and fill/finish process development in support of product commercialization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the hands-on application of standard protein characterization assays (SEC, CEX, RP-HPLC, CE-SDS, cIEF, and mass spectrometry) to ongoing formulation projects.

Additional responsibilities include documenting and retrieving scientific results in HLEE notebooks and computer files for regulatory filings, participating in group and project meetings, and presenting at departmental seminars. Deliver progress reports, presentations, expectations include both internal and external presentation of scientific data with an eventual external publication/patent track record.

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree or Master's degree completed by December 2019

OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of scientific/industrial experience

Preferred Qualifications

Science degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Protein Chemistry or related discipline

Theoretical and practical knowledge of protein stability

Practical knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, and biophysical methods

Knowledge and hands-on experience of mass spectrometry

Knowledge of applying and developing these methods to characterize in-process, stability, and forced degradation samples

Strong problem-solving skills to apply to the analytical characterization and formulation development of proteins

Able to work with minimal guidance to design, execute, and analyze long-term stability studies

Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and a good scientific background
