Data Center Migration Lead

Job Description

The Data Center Migration Lead will manage key aspects of the Data Center Program responsible for successfully facilitating, coordinating and implementing CCB's North America Data Center Migrations. You'll have the opportunity to assist with the migration into the firm's new strategic Data Center facilities.


Responsible for working with Global Technology and the CCB Lines of Business (LOB) to analyze the migrating application's technical requirements:

  • Facilitate review sessions with CCB LOB Technical Leads, Architects & App Dev teams to validate adherence to Global Technology Migration Entry Criteria.  This requires understanding of Network, Firewalls, Storage, Infrastructure, etc., requirements
  • Knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • You will be able to apply your knowledge and expertise to all aspects of software development lifecycle
  • You must be a self-motivated professional comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment
  • A broad technology experience encompassing infrastructure, Data Center migrations and application development is strongly preferred
  • Manage the migrations of web based distributed application server configuration on Tomcat, WebSphere, Apache & HIS
  • Coordinate and report on progress of work across CCB Sub-LOBs to manage processes across multiple environments, including monitoring of system health and performance, automating regular processes, scheduling upgrades, and assisting with delivery issues
  • Manage risk, dependencies and scheduling of applications in highly available, load balanced environments
  • Coordinate activities across AD teams and GTI to Install, configure, and administer servers, including multiple server instances, standalone, clusters, connection pools, plug-ins, and JDBC drivers

Advanced knowledge in the following key areas:  Infrastructure Technology; Data Center Management or Migration; Network Engineering; Technical Solutions

  • Current experience with Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with financial services risk and control requirements within a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
  • Strong communications skills - reporting, statistics and financial data
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Critical Thinking (anticipates problems and  establishes methods to mitigate project/program risks)
  • Executive communications for senior management
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
