We are seeking a highly talented Associate for our Corporate& Investment Bank Merchant Services CFO Team. We are a leading payments processor globally, and our business is well-positioned for continued growth. We are looking for great people to grow with us. This is an exciting time to join Merchant Services Finance as the merchant payments industry is becoming increasingly dynamic and undergoing significant transformation driven by digital disruption and innovation.

 

This CFO team is responsible for maintaining financial discipline and diligent business management, while helping the Segment President drive and execute their strategy. The CFO team works closely with our centralized Finance functional teams (e.g., Pricing, P&A) to develop strategies, prepare analysis, and execute.

 

The role of an Associate on the CFO team is to be responsible for executing research, analysis, and reporting under the direction of the Segment CFO. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to work independently and cross-functionally with various partners. As the role is a hybrid of strategic, business and financial analysis, previous consulting, investment banking, and/or payments industry experience is a major plus. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to month-end reporting and forecasting cycles, working closely with the business and centralized finance functions
  • Build and maintain financial models and forecasts in support of planning and analysis activities
  • Ensure revenue and expense budgets are aligned with business strategy and targets, and track, analyze, and explain variances vs. actuals and outlook
  • Perform ad hoc strategic projects such as backbook pricing reviews, creation of new pricing models, development / review of business cases, etc.
  • Research and analyze performance and trends in the industry, business, and portfolio
  • Prepare decks that help the CFO and Segment President, as well as other Senior Executives, discuss and communicate financial performance and strategy  
  • Build and foster strong partnerships across teams to execute core and ad-hoc responsibilities 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required, Master's degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record in FP&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, or similar  finance analytical background
  • Ability to perform financial and other analysis—exceptional Excel and modelling skills required, familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and other data analysis tools is a plus
  • Ability to synthesize data and information and prepare PowerPoint decks
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving, execution, and partnership mindset
  • Prior experience in card / payments industry is a major plus, but not required
