Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan’s Wholesale Payments business. Merchant Services is the world’s leading merchant acquirer with over $1 trillion in annual transaction volume in 2018. ChaseNet is a customized closed-loop proprietary payments platform, and Chase Pay is the firm’s new digital wallet that makes mobile transactions simple, safe and rewarding. The VP / Senior Product Manager will be focused on our core acceptance solutions, working to ensure the stability of our existing Class A terminal products, along with delivering against the roadmap for point of sale solutions. This individual will also work with our partners to identify opportunities to simplify the servicing experience, drive the product commercialization strategy, manage competitive dynamics, provide subject matter expertise, and serve as the market-facing conduit between external clients/partners and the internal product development organization.

The ideal person for this role is a one with a technical background who possesses a blend of business analysis, strategy, and tactical execution skills and who can take input and guidance from a broad range of stakeholders and create technical requirements and documentation for the development teams in an agile environment.


• Measure the products performance with sound P&L disciplines and achieve revenue targets
• Identify top client dissatisfaction drivers and prepare business case to support changes
• Provide a clear strategic roadmap which incorporates quarterly enhancements to our product and process
• Collaborate with Development, QA and other Product Managers on functional requirements, user needs and test scenarios
• Write Initiatives, Epics, and Stories to be developed by technology partners.
• Ability to collaborate and implement business objectives and project deliverables across multiple application platforms
• End of life legacy hardware and software, while migrating to new product solutions.
• Define business rules and controls when necessary to support business processes
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
• Lead the resolution of client escalations and incidents.
• Define new business process or changes to existing business processes as necessary to support the integration of new products and services into our existing multi-platform business model
• Recommend technical and process improvements where possible to improve the overall effectiveness or marketability of a product


• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7 + years in product development or technology role with product exposure
• 5-7+ years experience in payments industry required; merchant acquiring preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of credit/debit/EMV card processing, encryption, and tokenization methods
• Proven track record of managing a payments product end-to-end
• Strong ability to analyze issues & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written)
• Ability to productively work in a matrix management organization
• True passion for making the frictionless product and being obsessed with the client experience
• Self-motivated team player who collaborates to deliver solutions that are beneficial to all constituents when possible
• Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects with targeted deadlines
• Experience with Agile development methodology preferred
• Travel requirement: less than 25%
