Business Development Executive, Operations Director

Job Description

The Role

This position will report to the head of the Business Development & Strategy group, and will focus on building business centric strategies and core capabilities that will enable the onboarding of new clients.  This role serves as a strategic advisor, determining optimum go-to-market strategies as well as oversee the implementation of new products and services for Chase Auto. This leadership role will partner with multiple areas of the business to provide industry leading solutions enabling Chase to obtain and negotiate new client relationships from traditional and emerging markets.


Key Responsibilities:

Combine strong leadership, industry knowledge and institutional experience to identify and scope areas of opportunity, define the optimal project and analytical approach and lead a portfolio of initiatives cutting across the organization.

Provide thought leadership to often complex business opportunities by guiding teams into identifying the most effective onboarding approaches and making recommendations to senior management. 

Develop implementation strategies for new clients in the Business Development pipeline. Serve as Business Lead on all these initiatives, prepare documentation to lead initiatives through the established tollgates, monitor day to impacts, remove obstacles, and update senior management on a frequent basis. 

Generate and maintain an evergreen capabilities roadmap with key partners and develop strategies to provide industry leading solutions enabling Chase to obtain and negotiate new client relationships.

Participate in client meetings to assist in identifying optimal market solutions and lead implementation planning. Interact with executives from multiple client types and venues such as manufacturers, dealer groups, and other emerging digital opportunities.  

Keeping the customer and client top of mind, gather insight on client needs, market developments and identify repeatable solutions to on-board new partners. Serve as the Business Development representative in strategy sessions, investment reviews, and transformational committees. 

Build teamwork, morale and passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience by cross functionally partnering with key stakeholders in Financial Management, Credit Risk, Servicing, Operations, Technology, Sales and Underwriting teams.

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and disciplined oversight as well as awareness of risk and control issues as it relates to new client relationship opportunities by engaging constituents from Controls, Compliance and Legal.

  • Comfortable engaging both internally and externally with clients on multiple levels, including c-level executives

  • Understanding of how initiatives are executed at Chase Auto with knowledge of business and technology systems is key

  •  Familiarity of lease and loan subvention, private label branding and onboarding dealers is essential
