CCB Risk

Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

 

The Vice President â€“ Chase Auto Risk – Portfolio Diagnostics role will be part of the team responsible  developing a credit view in Auto to support the Chief Risk Officer (and other senior leaders across CCB products including the firm and CCB CROs, and LOB CEO) with a proactive viewpoint on consumer credit trends specific to Chase Auto Finance. The role will need to be a strategic architect of compelling views highlighting trends in the portfolio that produce insights to both originations and servicing risk informing policy changes.  The candidate will assist in the recession planning for Auto including early warning credit monitoring, playbook of actions tied to specific triggered outcomes, and diagnostic reporting.  The candidate will coordinate with other CCB product credit leads in reviewing observations made within Chase Auto as well as support strategic analytics to evaluate the impact of industry specific trends.


The candidate should have experience delivering broad and complex projects, effectively communicating and interacting with senior business partners, thinking creatively to solve problems, and thriving in a fast paced environment.  He/she should have proven skills to drive and support multiple deliverables, be detail-oriented, diligent, and confident in relationship management.  The candidate will need to effectively engage with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.


Responsibilities:
  • Conducting analysis and interpretation using big data and its impact on both operational and financial areas of the business and wider industry

  • Leveraging the output of internal teams that can complement existing credit views such as Chase Customer 360 for customer level data and Dealer Services

  • Drive ongoing analysis of market / industry trends or select regulatory-related topics, assess impact to Chase Auto and provide insights to be shared across the organization

  • Manage and support financial reporting and expense management, organizational efficiencies, innovation strategies, and ad-hoc strategic projects

  • Refine and enhance strategic reports to effectively leverage analytical capacity and drive transparency throughout Auto and the Risk organization

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field; Master’s Degree a plus

  • 6+ years of business management with focus on consumer credit (Auto, Home Lending, Student Lending, or Credit Card) risk exposure

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to comprehend and explain data / concepts in a clear and concise manner

  • Demonstrated experience programming with SQL and SAS; applications such as Tableau, Knowledge Seeker, and VBA a plus

  • Detail-oriented, high degree of organizational capability and diligence to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners and engage with senior leaders

  • Exceptional presentation and oral/written communication skills

  • Highly motivated, confident, team player with strong problem solving skills
