  • ​This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
  • Responsible for the technical leadership, execution and delivery of next generation software defined infrastructure; firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention technologies, micro-segmentation, end point firewall, IDS, IPS, data center technologies and continuous process improvements. In addition, ensuring an increased use of vulnerability detection, anti-virus, malware protection, intrustion detection, and anomaly reporting software.​
What you'll do
  • Installs, configures, and manages DSM host-based firewalls, NSX-T based traffic steering and tagging, Palo Alto Firewalls, B2B VPN Tunnels, Site to Site VPN
  • Installs, configures, and manages a highly available Microtrend host-based firewall management and develops scripts to install host agents
  • Installs, configures, and manages a highly available and scalable VMware/virtualization NSX Software Defined Infrastructure
  • Provides planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for Trend Micro host-based firewall and IPS agents in a variety of server OS platforms including periodic rule review and maintenance
  • Accountable for identifying, designing, building, and implementing within PCI based segments and environment the host-based firewall agents necessary to protect and maintain a secure and stable micro-segmented environment
  • Functions as a technical change agent and influences product direction in order to increase IT business value and simplicity
  • Serves as an advocate for business stakeholders into IT and helps evangelize the role of network security technology back to the business
  • Contributes to our positive, team-oriented culture by developing and maintaining cooperative relationships, facilitating the resolution of conflicts, and accepting and providing constructive feedback
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years of experience in a Network Security environment working with Trend Micro Deep Security Manager, host-based firewalls, on-premise firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and SDWan
  • 3 years of experience in delivering end point firewall protection using host-based firewall and intrusion detection, leveraging automation, orchestration, scripting technologies
  • 5 years of experience with various Operating Systems Windows, Linux, UNIX
  • Involvement with cybersecurity auditing, PCI and NIST 800-41

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Trend Micro Deep Security product for server endpoint protection; other experience with end point security vendors a plus
  • Design Ansible networking playbooks (and/or via Python scripts, REST API) for Trend Micro DSM and Palo Alto Panorama
  • Strong experience with Active Directory & DNS

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Demonstrated experience with VMware NSX products and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with VMware vRealize Automation and Operations products and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience creating and implementing workflows and blueprints
  • ​Understands both network and cyber security standards, best practices and processes in a diverse and complex multi-datacenter environment
  • Understands and effectively articulates the implications and impact that proposed architectural changes will have on the business (to technical and non-technical audiences)
  • Proven ability to build, cultivate, and promote strong relationships with internal customers at all levels of the organization, as well as with IT counterparts, business partners, and external groups
  • Deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between information security, database, middleware, network infrastructure and application services
  • Knowledge of what it takes to deploy and execute software defined infrastructure; firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention, micro-segmentation, and software defined network, software defined WAN etc.
  • Trend Micro DSM, Cisco Security, Palo Alto PCNSA, PCCSA certification
  • Experience presenting key, strategic technical details to Senior Leadership
  • Experience working with Agile project management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps, ITIL, and platform process & technology, with a progressive track record
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects/work streams and demands efficiently
