Description
The Operation Analytics team is responsible for the development and implementation of key processes that directly impact the overall performance of the Recovery network for the Credit Card and Retail businesses.
The individual will be responsible for end-to-end management of business strategies, including designing, developing segmentation strategies for retail and credit card collection management.  The role is a mix of project management, internal client consulting and hands on data analysis, including data extraction, sampling, and statistical modelling using logistic regression, multiple linear regression, multivariate analysis and time series analysis.  Since the role resides within the collection organization, there is significant exposure to collection policy related projects and initiatives
Day to day activities also include monitoring the health of the recovery environment and targeted strategies to improve adherence to regulatory guidelines within the business.
 
Responsibility
  • Responsible for recognizing opportunities and enhancements to existing models to improve overall financial performance, customer experience and execution quality
  • Partner with internal groups to build or modify strategies to improve liquidation and overall performance including regulatory and compliance aspects
  • Conduct thoughtful ad-hoc analytics to address business issues and be able to independently generate forward looking solution
  • Explore new data sources and cross line of business collection best practice to drive the business forward
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or MS degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant analytics/modelling experience. Previous experience in credit card risk/collection fields is preferred
  • knowledge of credit card P&L is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, building and presenting strategies, data mining, developing predictive modelling techniques and presentation of findings is a must
  • Experienced programming knowledge in both SAS and SQL, Operating systems experience with UNIX and relational database knowledge such as ORACLE/TERADATA
  • Experience in Python or R for programming
  • Experience using Tableau, Cognos or other BI Tools with some projects completed to back this experience
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations via the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables.  Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across cross-functional groups
  • Evidence of leadership, initiative, productivity and teamwork
