Policy and Standards management is an area of importance in the firm and in the industry. The Office of Policies and Standards (OPS) in Risk Management & Compliance is critical in advancing the firm’s policy and standards agenda. The OPS is responsible for establishing and overseeing firmwide policy and standards governance and developing firmwide technology to support the policy and standards management process, including maintaining a single repository for policies (the Firmwide Policy Portal).  OPS provides active and direct leadership in development, drafting, review, socialization and approval of policies and standards.


The Office of Policies & Standards Governance Associate supports the maintenance of and adherence to firmwide policy governance, related forums and strategic initiatives as they arise. 



  • Build relationships, provide expert guidance and collaborate with firmwide stakeholders to promote adherence to established governance processes
  • Be a subject matter expert on policy/standard governance requirements and lifecycle events (i.e., development, review, amendment, approval, retirement)
  • Drive the socialization of policies/standards to relevant firmwide stakeholders for review and feedback
  • Organize and execute policy initiatives as they arise
  • Apply critical problem solving skills and analytical mindsets to develop/maintain metrics reporting
  • Manage and analyze key data related to OPS’s activities  
  • Support initiatives related to training, regulatory change, legal obligations


  • Minimum 3 years experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit or Corporate Governance activities, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor or higher degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline
  • Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with varied stakeholders and audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across different businesses and functional areas
  • Strong communication, project management, process and business analysis skills
  • Excellent control mindset
  • Strong Excel, SQL, Word, and Power Point skills
  • Experience in consolidating data from multiple systems and creating executive level reports
  • Ability to become a subject-matter expert in new authoring and workflow technology and portal management
