The Digital and Client Solutions team, reporting to the U.S. Wealth Management CEO, develops industry-leading solutions that enable wealth management clients to live their lives with financial confidence through connected experiences. The team is charged with creating a fully integrated, elegant and seamless end-to-end experience for clients across the Aspiring Affluent, Established, and High Net Worth client segments. We build the strategic vision and lead the development of product and solutions, including online brokerage and advice, digital solutions, lending and retirement products and best-in-class experiences for all clients. Our strategy is to create solutions that deepen client engagement, increase scale and profitability, attract new clients and drive productivity.

 

Position Overview:

To ensure that the organization is consistently delivering best-in-class, technology, designs and experiences, the Wealth Experiences Innovation team is responsible for staying up to date with external innovation trends, building relationships with core and emerging FinTech and Emerging Technology companies, as well as being a key input within the Venture Capital and Private Equity community. This team is tasked with ensuring that the USWM organization is consistently partnering and investing in best-in-class technology companies and service providers, while also serving as a critical member of the JPMorgan Chase firm-wide FinTech program

The Wealth Experiences Innovation team is seeking a driven Associate to assist in developing and executing the USWM partnership strategy, conducting in-depth innovation and competitive research, and in leading the relationships with dozens of internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with leaders across USWM, Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), Consumer & Community Bank (CCB), Digital and firm-wide technology, strategy, and partnerships teams

The candidate will be responsible for managing strategic vendor and FinTech initiatives, identifying relevant partners to form new partnerships with, owning and developing business management and reporting processes, as well as helping the organization further drive efficiencies in the rate and speed in which it can partner with FinTech and EmTech companies.  This candidate will have a large role in our product innovation and acceleration efforts, rapidly working internal and external stakeholders to produce relevant, strategic prototypes and technology.   

The ideal candidate has experience in Product Management and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate should also have experience in building strategic relationships with core stakeholders, and has a strong passion for digital, wealth management, product development, and emerging technology solutions. 


Responsibilities:
  • Understand the core strategic priorities and opportunities across USWM to ensure the team is proactively sourcing and working with relevant internal and external partners
  • Lead applicable product development and management projects aimed at helping senior stakeholders prioritize future roadmaps and offerings
  • During the onboarding efforts of third parties, lead product and technical due diligence and analysis, ensuring that USWM is working with best-in-class partners
  • Develop and create industry landscape and competitive research, developing perspectives on who best-in-class FinTech and partners are
  • Lead, often individually, several FinTech and prospective partner relationships and discussions
  • Lead the onboarding efforts, including negotiations, with strategic vendors that we are looking to partner with
  • Identify ways in which we can improve our onboarding efforts, including the efficiency in which we can test and prototype external technology.
  • Be a culture carrier in a new line of business and growing team. Build a best-in-class brand for the team with internal and external partners
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Digital, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, preferably with experience in product management, product development, wealth management, FinTech, online investing, digital banking, or a closely related business
  • Proven ability to work with technology and business teams to quickly produce innovative concepts, designs, and technical prototypes
  • Ability to manage multiple, fast-paced projects under tight timelines and fluid priorities
  • Experience evaluating vendor offerings, conducting build-buy-partner analysis, negotiating contracts, integrating, and managing relationships
  • Excellent leadership skills – of programs, projects, teams and employees – with demonstrated comfort and ability to present to senior management
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills and ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Genuinely energized by new, innovative digital technology and its impact on customers
  • Strong integrity in working with highly confidential information and maintaining a diverse, respectful work environment within Digital and Client Solutions organization
